Hyderabad: Labour, Employment & Training, Factories, Mines and Geology Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkatswamy said the State government was working with public welfare and overall development as its core objectives.
The Minister made the statement on Wednesday after laying foundation stones for several Kyathanpally development works in Mancherial district. District Collector Kumar Deepak and Kyathanpally Municipal Commissioner Raju joined him at the programme.
Addressing the gathering, Vivek Venkatswamy said the government was implementing welfare and development programmes by prioritising public needs. He assured residents that authorities would soon relocate hazardous electric poles, power lines, and transformers in various municipal wards.
He said the government had sanctioned ₹40 crore to Kyathanpally Municipality under the AMRUT scheme. Nearly 50% of the works have already been completed. Officials are working to finish the remaining projects and provide drinking water tap connections to every household.
The Minister said the government was strengthening public hospitals by increasing doctors and staff. He added that authorities had identified and issued ration cards pending for the last 10 years to eligible families. The government was also distributing fine rice every month through the public distribution system.
Kyathanpally development works across multiple wards
Vivek Venkatswamy said the government would start pension distribution to eligible beneficiaries from next month. He also announced ₹15 crore for Kyathanpally Municipality under urban development funds.
He added that authorities would utilise DMFT and CSR funds for public welfare activities. As part of the Kyathanpally development works, the Minister laid foundation stones and inaugurated projects across several wards.
Works worth ₹87.58 lakh were taken up in Ward No. 6 at Bhagat Singh Nagar using TUFIDC funds. In Ward No. 21 near Jenda on the main road, authorities launched works costing ₹20 lakh. Projects worth ₹50 lakh began at Rajiv Chowk in Ward No. 17.
In Ward No. 20 at the Srinivasa Nagar–Pragathi Nagar junction, internal roads and drainage works worth ₹38 lakh were launched. Ward No. 3 at Indira Nagar saw works worth ₹22.50 lakh, while Ward No. 10 in Retirement Colony Board area received projects worth ₹1.24 crore.
Additional works included ₹28.36 lakh behind the substation in Ward No. 11 and ₹42.60 lakh on Arumalla Pocham Road in Ward No. 15 using TUFIDC funds. Authorities also launched ₹15 lakh projects each in Ward Nos. 18 and 19.
The Minister also inaugurated a lighting system on the Railway Over Bridge. The project cost ₹57 lakh and used DMFT funds to improve public safety.
Vivek Venkatswamy assured that the government would ensure comprehensive development in every part of the Chennur Assembly constituency. He said officials would provide all essential facilities to prevent inconvenience to residents.
