Wings India 2026 to showcase India’s aviation ascent as fastest-growing market

Hyderabad: Wings India 2026 will showcase India’s rapid rise as the world’s fastest-growing civil aviation market when Asia’s largest aviation event opens at Begumpet Airport from January 28 to 31.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu will formally launch the four-day event. Senior dignitaries from India and abroad will attend the inauguration. The event will project India’s transformation into a global aviation hub for connectivity, manufacturing, services and sustainability.

Wings India 2026 will centre on the theme “Indian Aviation: Paving the Future.” The programme will trace the sector’s journey from design to deployment and from manufacturing to maintenance. Moreover, it will highlight inclusivity, innovation, safety and sustainability.

Over the past decade, India’s aviation sector has expanded rapidly. Passenger traffic has increased sharply. Indian airlines have placed record aircraft orders. At the same time, airport infrastructure has grown through greenfield projects and regional connectivity under UDAN.

India has also emerged as a growing hub for MRO, pilot training, aerospace manufacturing and cargo logistics. In addition, the push for sustainable aviation fuel, green airports and digital navigation is reshaping future operations.

Wings India 2026 to host global aviation leaders and air shows

Wings India 2026 will feature a large international exhibition and static aircraft displays. Aerobatic flying shows will also attract public interest. Furthermore, the programme will include a global aviation conference, ministerial plenary and a Global CEOs Forum.

The event will bring together policymakers, airline chiefs, airport operators, OEMs, MROs, lessors and technology providers. Therefore, it will serve as one of the most comprehensive aviation platforms in the world.

Official delegations from 20 countries will attend the event. Several Indian states will also participate through ministers and senior officials. Leading global and domestic companies, including Airbus, Boeing, HAL, Rolls-Royce, Air India, IndiGo and Akasa Air, have confirmed participation.

The event will also feature flying displays by the Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team and the Mark Jefferies Aerobatic Team. Meanwhile, static displays will showcase more than 31 aircraft.

The conference will include 13 thematic sessions covering airports, airlines, MRO, air cargo, SAF, drones and skilling. In addition, Wings India 2026 will host an aviation job fair and a student innovation competition.

Organisers expect major announcements, MoUs and strategic partnerships during the event. With over 150 exhibitors and one lakh general visitors expected, Wings India 2026 aims to chart the future of global civil aviation while highlighting India’s leadership role.
