Hyderabad: Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin on Thursday called upon graduates and youth in the Hyderabad–Rangareddy–Mahabubnagar constituency to vote for the Congress candidate in the upcoming MLC elections. He said this would strengthen the people’s government in Telangana. He was addressing a preparatory meeting for the Congress MLC elections at Red Rose Function Hall.
Azharuddin said the Congress government under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has been taking several decisions in favour of youth. He added that it is giving them greater opportunities within the party and in legislative institutions. He said every election mattered and urged party leaders and workers to begin preparations. Their first priority, he said, should be to enrol eligible graduates as voters.
He said the Congress works for every section of society. He also stressed the need to communicate the government’s initiatives and the party’s commitment to public welfare effectively.
