New Delhi: Union Minister for Labour and Employment and Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya said welfare-focused governance was building a “Sashakt, Samriddha Bharat” as PM-SYM beneficiaries met him on the 77th Republic Day.
Dr. Mandaviya interacted with PM-SYM beneficiaries and their family members who attended the Republic Day celebrations in Delhi. Over 100 beneficiaries from different states took part in the programme. The government invited them in recognition of their work in the unorganised sector and their enrolment in the pension scheme.
Welcoming the beneficiaries, the Minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the invitation. He said the move reflected the Centre’s commitment to inclusive and citizen-centric governance. He added that leaders must stay connected with people to understand their needs and aspirations.
Dr. Mandaviya reaffirmed the government’s resolve to provide social security to unorganised workers. He said welfare schemes aimed to ensure dignity and financial stability. He stressed that such measures filled long-standing gaps in social protection.
