Hyderabad: Former minister and BRS deputy floor leader T. Harish Rao launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy during a campaign event on Monday, accusing him of avoiding Medak district and failing to fulfil key promises.
Addressing voters as part of the Dubbak civic poll campaign, Harish Rao claimed that Revanth Reddy had stayed away from Medak because he feared public questioning over unfulfilled guarantees. “There’s no fogging in municipalities, only fraud. No schemes, just scams,” he said.
Rao ridiculed the Congress government as a “do-nothing” regime over the last two-and-a-half years. He alleged that essential services, including water supply and housing, remained patchy, while corruption had become widespread under the present administration.

Harish Rao listed several promises made by Revanth Reddy and alleged that none had been implemented. “He promised Mahalakshmi, Rythu Bharosa, crop bonuses, scooters, gold. Not one promise has been fulfilled,” he said. He also mocked the Mahalakshmi bus scheme, remarking, “Free ride for the wife, double fare for the husband.”
The BRS leader also criticised Revanth Reddy for his frequent attacks on former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and other party leaders. “Every morning, he either attacks KCR, me, or KTR’s English. But does that feed anyone?” he asked.
Drawing a sharp analogy, Rao said Revanth could not change his language or conduct despite education or foreign exposure. He urged voters to respond in the polling booth and concluded by calling for a decisive victory for the BRS, saying the pink flag must fly high across Dubbak.
