Sridhar Babu outlines Telangana digital governance vision at AI Summit

Hyderabad: Telangana digital governance will evolve through Artificial Intelligence, quantum computing and blockchain, IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said on Friday.

He addressed a session titled “Agents of Change: AI for Government Services and Climate Resilience” at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam. The Minister said the State has positioned technology as a core pillar of transformation under its Telangana Rising 2047 vision.

According to him, Telangana digital governance focuses on integrating advanced technologies with citizen services. This approach aims to reduce administrative gaps and improve service delivery. As a result, governance can become more efficient, transparent and accessible.

Telangana digital governance anchored in AI-led initiatives

Sridhar Babu listed several initiatives that support the State’s digital roadmap. These include Bharat Future City, AI City, AI University, AIKAM, the AI-driven Telangana Digital Exchange and Bhu Bharati. He said these platforms will strengthen digital infrastructure and enable institutional reforms.

Moreover, the Minister stressed inclusive innovation. He noted that the government is examining Agentic AI to ensure technological progress benefits all sections of society. Policymakers, he added, are designing frameworks that balance innovation with accountability.

In addition, the State is expanding digital deployment across agriculture, climate resilience and healthcare. It is also applying advanced tools to sustainable urban development, clean energy and disaster management systems.

Sridhar Babu stated that embedding advanced technologies into governance structures will help build resilient public systems. Ultimately, he said, this strategy will improve service outcomes and reinforce Telangana’s position as a technology-driven State.
