Nizamabad bus accident kills four passengers

Hyderabad: Four passengers died in a Nizamabad bus accident after a private travel bus overturned near Gannaram village in Indalvai mandal early Friday morning, police said.

The bus was travelling from Hyderabad to Akola with 22 passengers on board when the incident occurred. Police said the driver lost control of the vehicle near Gannaram.

As a result, the bus suddenly overturned on the road. Most passengers were asleep when the accident occurred.

The sudden impact woke several passengers in panic. Some passengers sustained injuries in the crash.

Four passengers died in the mishap, according to police officials at the scene.

Investigation begins after Nizamabad bus accident

Indalvai police rushed to the spot soon after receiving information about the accident. Rescue teams shifted injured passengers to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Officials said the identities of the deceased passengers are yet to be confirmed.

Police suspect overspeeding may have caused the accident. However, investigators are examining all possible causes.

Authorities registered a case and began an investigation into the incident.
