BRS flags land encroachment allegations in Telangana

Hyderabad: The opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi raised concerns over Telangana land encroachments, alleging large-scale irregularities across several regions in the state.

At a press conference held at Telangana Bhavan, R. S. Praveen Kumar claimed that farmers in areas such as Nadergul and Pargi face intimidation and displacement.

Telangana land encroachments allegations target leadership

Praveen Kumar criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. He alleged misuse of power and demanded strict action against those involved.

Moreover, he called for arrests within 72 hours in connection with alleged irregularities in Nadergul land dealings. He also warned officials of legal consequences if authorities failed to act.

In addition, he claimed that public wealth worth ₹7,000 crore was being misused instead of supporting welfare programmes.

Allegations spread across multiple regions

The BRS leader questioned the lack of police action and alleged collusion between officials and political leaders.

Furthermore, he listed several locations where encroachments allegedly occurred, including Lagacharla, Velugumatla, Kothwalguda, Nanakramguda, Pargi, Regadi Doswada, and Moosi areas.

He also referred to a High Court ruling, claiming that 374 acres in Nadergul belong to the government. According to him, attempts were being made to take control of this land by pressuring officials.

BRS vows continued protests

Meanwhile, Praveen Kumar urged youth to raise awareness on social media. He emphasised that the party would continue protests until authorities address the issue.

Overall, the Telangana land encroachments issue has intensified political tensions, with the opposition demanding accountability and immediate corrective action.
