Madhu Park Ridge residents seek role in Musi project

Hyderabad: Displaced residents of Madhu Park Ridge A Block sought a formal Musi project role, urging the Telangana government to recognise them as stakeholders in the Musi rejuvenation programme. They submitted three proposals during a meeting with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka at Praja Bhavan on Monday.

The residents said they supported the Musi project but wanted inclusion in the decision-making process. They stressed that they had been directly affected and sought justice under the ongoing redevelopment initiative. As a result, they requested the government to treat them as partners in the project framework.

Moreover, the group placed three specific proposals before the Deputy Chief Minister for consideration. They maintained that their suggestions aimed to ensure fair rehabilitation and representation in the redevelopment exercise.

Musi project role proposals sent for review

Bhatti Vikramarka said the government would examine all three proposals on humanitarian grounds. He assured the residents that justice would be ensured after a detailed review process.

He also directed Musi Riverfront Development Corporation Managing Director E.V. Narasimha Reddy and Rangareddy District Collector Narayana Reddy to study the submissions. They were asked to prepare a report and submit it to the Musi Cabinet Sub-Committee for further action.

Meanwhile, the meeting took place as the state continued work on the Musi rejuvenation programme. Displaced residents continued to press for a defined Musi project role in planning and implementation.

Officials said the review process would assess the feasibility of the proposals. The outcome is expected to influence how affected residents are included in future stages of the project.
