Hyderabad: Labour and Mines Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy said TOMCOM overseas jobs are expanding, with the state facilitating international placements for youth.
He stated that the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company was creating pathways for employment abroad. Moreover, he said Germany alone had a demand for nearly 5 lakh jobs annually.
The minister added that Germany was issuing around 90,000 visas each year. He noted that these opportunities offer salaries exceeding ₹2 lakh per month.
Further, he said the state was strengthening skills through Advanced Technology Centres. These centres train about 25,000 youth annually. The government is spending nearly ₹4,000 crore on this initiative.
He also said TOMCOM provides German language training within four months. Therefore, candidates can quickly prepare for overseas employment.
TOMCOM overseas jobs linked to skill training push
Vivek warned youth against fraudulent private agencies offering overseas jobs. Instead, he advised them to rely only on official TOMCOM overseas jobs channels.
He said Indian workers enjoy a strong reputation abroad for discipline and adherence to laws. Consequently, global employers prefer hiring from India.
The minister also highlighted the state’s job creation efforts. He said the government was working to fulfil its promise of providing two lakh jobs.
He credited Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for facilitating over one lakh job opportunities so far. Meanwhile, he urged unemployed youth to utilise the programmes offered by TOMCOM.
Vivek also said the Telangana Gig Workers Act had emerged as a model for the country. He added that the government remained committed to welfare measures for workers in the unorganised sector.
