New Delhi: BSNL annual results for FY 2025–26 showed strong growth, with Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia describing the company’s performance as transformative.
He reviewed the results at a Strategic Review and Planning Meet held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. The meeting was attended by Minister of State Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, Telecom Secretary Amit Agarwal, BSNL CMD A. Robert J. Ravi, and senior officials.
The minister said BSNL had successfully transitioned from a 3G provider to a competitive 4G player. He added that this shift supported the government’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision. He also noted that India had joined a select group of five countries with end-to-end indigenous telecom capabilities.
During the review, the minister assessed key operational metrics, including service quality, subscriber growth, and revenue performance. Notably, BSNL’s Average Revenue Per User rose to ₹101 in FY 2025–26 from ₹71 in the previous year, marking a 42% increase.
BSNL annual results highlight top circles and future focus
The review also recognised high-performing telecom circles. Odisha emerged as the overall best-performing circle, recording around 21% growth in revenue from services. It also achieved a 68% rise in enterprise business revenue.
The enterprise business vertical at the national level was named the best-performing segment. It posted a 15% increase in revenue. Karnataka circle was recognised for strong EBITDA growth, while Assam and Jharkhand showed positive growth across all segments.
Additionally, Uttar Pradesh (East) and Jharkhand recorded improvements in FTTH ARPU. These performances highlighted operational gains across regions.
Looking ahead, the minister stressed the need for focused execution and accountability. He asked circle heads to adopt best practices from top performers to sustain growth.
He also emphasised stronger coordination with telecom equipment manufacturers. This, he said, would support the domestic ecosystem and reinforce India’s position in indigenous telecom technology.
Officials said the BSNL annual results reflected steady financial and operational recovery, supported by technology upgrades and improved service delivery.
