Kishan Reddy announces new train services approved for Telangana

Hyderabad: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy said the Ministry of Railways had approved new train services to strengthen rail connectivity in Telangana. He made the announcement on May 14, 2026. He said the approvals aimed to improve passenger access and travel options. Moreover, he stated that several express services had been regularised under the latest decision. The minister added that the move marked a major step in expanding transport facilities in the State.

He said the new train services would improve connectivity to Tirupati, Okha, Bengaluru, Bidar, Kalaburagi, and Belagavi. In addition, he noted that the services would link several key stations across Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. Therefore, the plan focused on both intra-state and interstate travel needs. He also said weekly operations would enhance convenience for regular passengers.

New train services to improve interstate connectivity

Kishan Reddy said the new train services would strengthen interstate rail links for Telangana travellers. He said the Railway Ministry continued to expand infrastructure across the State. Furthermore, he stated that the decision would support pilgrimage, business, and regional travel. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for backing railway development in Telangana.

According to him, the approvals reflected sustained efforts to expand transport capacity. Consequently, the new train services were expected to benefit passengers travelling between Telangana and neighbouring States. The Ministry also regularised multiple express trains operating through the region. He said this step would further improve overall rail operations.
