Hyderabad: Labour, Employment, Mines and Geology Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy inaugurated newly constructed Indiramma houses in Rajaram and Kothapalli villages of Kotapalli mandal in Mancherial district, reaffirming the Telangana government’s commitment to providing housing for poor families.
Peddapalli Member of Parliament G. Vamsi Krishna joined the minister in formally opening the houses built under the Indiramma Housing Scheme. The leaders inaugurated the houses by cutting the ribbon and interacting with beneficiaries.
Speaking at the programme, Dr. Vivek Venkatswamy said the Congress government launched the housing scheme to ensure that every poor family could own a house. He said the initiative reflected the government’s determination to provide permanent housing that brings stability, dignity and security to beneficiaries.
The minister stated that the government was not limiting itself to promises. Instead, it was delivering tangible benefits through welfare programmes designed to improve living conditions for economically weaker sections.
He expressed confidence that the newly built houses in Rajaram and Kothapalli would improve the quality of life of beneficiaries. He also reiterated that the government remained committed to fulfilling the dream of home ownership for every eligible family across Telangana.
Indiramma houses strengthen housing security
MP G. Vamsi Krishna said the state government was giving top priority to the welfare of poor families and housing development. He noted that access to safe and secure housing played a crucial role in improving social and economic conditions.
According to the MP, the housing scheme was helping thousands of families secure permanent shelter. He said the initiative would contribute significantly to social development and enhance the living standards of beneficiaries.
Vamsi Krishna added that housing security remained a key component of inclusive development. Therefore, the government continued to focus on programmes that directly benefited vulnerable sections of society.
Local public representatives, officials, beneficiaries and villagers attended the inauguration programme. They welcomed the initiative and expressed hope that more deserving families would receive support under future phases of the housing scheme.
The Telangana government has been implementing the housing programme in different districts to expand access to permanent housing and improve the welfare of eligible families.
