Hyderabad: TRS president Kalvakuntla Kavitha hoisted the national flag at the Telangana Rakshana Sena office in Banjara Hills during Telangana Formation Day celebrations on Sunday.
Party leaders, supporters and members of the organisation attended the programme. They paid tribute to those who participated in the Telangana statehood movement and remembered their contributions to the formation of the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavitha said Telangana Formation Day symbolised the aspirations and sacrifices of the people. She noted that the state emerged after years of struggle and collective effort.
Furthermore, she said the anniversary served as a reminder of the movement that led to the creation of Telangana. According to her, the occasion also highlighted the responsibility of safeguarding the state’s interests.
Kavitha stated that Telangana had achieved progress in several sectors since its formation. Moreover, she stressed the need to continue efforts that promote development and public welfare.
