Kamareddy model constituency plan focuses on education, jobs and irrigation
Hyderabad: Government Adviser Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Wednesday said developing a Kamareddy model constituency was his top priority. He said the Congress government would focus on education, healthcare, sports, irrigation, industries, employment and infrastructure. He added that the plan would make Kamareddy a development model for Telangana.
Addressing a media conference at the Congress constituency office in Kamareddy, Shabbir Ali said the government had started projects in both urban and rural areas. He said every initiative would improve public services and create new economic opportunities.
He welcomed Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s decision to sanction ₹5 crore for Kamareddy Boys High School. He studied at the school. He said the government would transform it into a model institution. The school will have air-conditioned classrooms, digital learning facilities, science and computer laboratories, a smart library, sports infrastructure and safe drinking water. He added that the works would finish quickly with CMR funds and, if necessary, his personal contribution.
Kamareddy model constituency to strengthen public infrastructure
Shabbir Ali said the government would also upgrade the Indira Gandhi Stadium. The project includes an eight-lane athletics track, four tennis courts, a volleyball court, a yoga hall, a modern gym, rifle shooting facilities and separate changing rooms. It will also include a swimming pool. In addition, MSN Pharma will install German daylight technology through CSR support worth ₹78 lakh.
He said the government had approved a fire station, a 50-bed government hospital and an MRO office at Domakonda mandal headquarters. The projects will cost ₹10 crore. Construction will begin soon.
Furthermore, Shabbir Ali said the government would improve roads, drainage, drinking water supply, parks, street lighting and sanitation in Kamareddy town. It will also strengthen roads, irrigation facilities, health centres, schools and Anganwadi centres in villages.
He said the government planned to attract industries to the district. The move will create more local jobs for young people. It will also establish skill development centres to support employment and self-employment.
Besides this, he said the government would support farmers through timely irrigation water, fertilisers and quality seeds. It would also improve marketing facilities and establish more godowns and cold storages.
Shabbir Ali said he would soon meet Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy. They will discuss measures to speed up the Kaleshwaram, formerly Pranahita-Chevella, project. He alleged that the previous BRS government changed the project design and delayed irrigation benefits for Kamareddy farmers.
He reiterated that the government would implement every development programme transparently. He said the Kamareddy model constituency would emerge as a leader in education, healthcare, irrigation, sports, industries and employment.
