Hyderabad: Telangana Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir assured Congress workers in Kamareddy that their hard work would receive due recognition. He said opportunities might take time, but no worker would face injustice.
Shabbir Ali made the remarks on Monday at a felicitation programme at Classic Function Hall in Kamareddy. The event followed the swearing-in of Gudem Srinivas Reddy as chairman of the Kamareddy Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS).
Gudem Srinivas Reddy and the newly elected PACS directors had taken their oath earlier. The ceremony took place at the society office near Gopala Swamy temple in Kamareddy town.
Shabbir Ali attended the felicitation programme as the chief guest. He congratulated Gudem Srinivas Reddy and the new directors. He also felicitated them with shawls.
He said the party would continue to provide opportunities to leaders and workers who had served the Congress for years. He stressed that the party would not forget those who supported it during difficult periods.
“The Congress will never forget workers who believed in the party and worked for it. Opportunities will come. There may be some delay, but no one will be treated unjustly,” he said.
Shabbir Ali said Congress workers played a major role in bringing the party to power. He described them as the backbone of the organisation.
He also said Congress policy focused on recognising workers who carried the party flag during difficult times. He reiterated that Congress worker recognition remained important for those who had worked for the party.
Congress worker recognition linked to party service
Shabbir Ali also highlighted the Congress government’s focus on farmers and agriculture. He said the government would continue supporting farmers and implementing welfare programmes.
“Congress means farmers, and farmers mean Congress,” he said.
He said the Congress had a long record of protecting farmers’ interests. He added that the party understood the difficulties faced by the farming community.
According to Shabbir Ali, the government would continue supporting farmers when they needed assistance. He said it was also working to address their concerns.
He referred to steps aimed at strengthening agriculture and improving financial security for farmers. He said the state and country could progress only when farmers prospered.
Shabbir Ali urged the newly elected PACS chairman and directors to remain accessible to farmers. He asked them to focus on resolving farmers’ problems.
He said cooperative societies should not function merely as political positions. Instead, they should serve as platforms for farmers’ welfare and agricultural development.
He urged the PACS to provide necessary support to farmers. He also said the society should play a stronger role in developing the agriculture sector.
Congratulating Gudem Srinivas Reddy on assuming charge, Shabbir Ali asked him to protect the trust placed in him by farmers. He also urged the directors to work together and strengthen the cooperative society.
Former DCC president Kailasa Srinivasa Rao attended the programme. Library Chairman Maddi Chandrakanth Reddy and PCC General Secretary Baddam Indrakaran Reddy were also present.
Kamareddy Municipal Chairperson Uma Srinivas and town Congress president Aireni Sandeep attended the event. Municipal councillors, sarpanches, party leaders and workers also joined the programme.
PACS representatives, farmers, supporters, newly elected chairman Gudem Srinivas Reddy and the directors were among those present.
