Hyderabad: ACB raids Kishan Naik after registering a disproportionate assets case against the Mahabubnagar deputy transport commissioner, triggering searches at multiple locations linked to the officer across Telangana.
Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau said they booked the case after preliminary checks indicated that Kishan Naik allegedly amassed assets far beyond his known sources of income. Following the registration of the case, ACB teams launched coordinated searches at properties associated with the officer.
The raids were carried out simultaneously at locations in Hyderabad, Mahabubnagar and Rangareddy districts. ACB officials said the searches also extended to several other places, taking the total number of locations to six.
In Hyderabad, the searches continued at Kishan Naik’s residence located in the Secunderabad–Boinpally and RR Nagar areas. Officials said teams were verifying documents, valuables and financial records found during the operation.
According to ACB sources, the officer allegedly accumulated assets worth more than ₹100 crore. The bureau is examining property records, bank transactions and investment details to assess the scale of the alleged irregularities.
ACB raids Kishan Naik-linked properties across six locations
Continuing the ACB raids Kishan Naik, officials said the searches were part of a wider effort to trace movable and immovable assets held directly or through associates. The bureau is also verifying properties held in the names of family members and close relatives.
Investigators noted that Kishan Naik had earlier worked under senior officer Paparao and was considered one of his close protégés. The ACB is examining whether this professional association had any bearing on the accumulation of assets.
Officials said the searches would continue until all relevant material was secured and documented. After completing the raids, the ACB will prepare a detailed assessment report based on the seized evidence.
The bureau said further legal action would follow based on the outcome of the investigation. No official response was issued by Kishan Naik at the time of filing this report.
