BCCI hikes rates for Team India jersey sponsor, sets new tender rules

Hyderabad: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revised sponsorship rates for the Team India jersey, increasing charges for both bilateral and multi-nation games. The changes come after Dream11 withdrew as sponsor following the implementation of the Online Gaming Act, 2025.

Under the new rates, BCCI will charge ₹3.5 crore per bilateral match and ₹1.5 crore per ICC, Asia Cup or tri-series game. The earlier rates were ₹3.17 crore and ₹1.12 crore, respectively.

Team India jersey sponsor tender open after Dream11 withdrawal

According to reports, the new rates will be applicable after the Asia Cup, and the board could earn more than ₹400 crore, depending on bidding outcomes. BCCI issued the tender on September 2, with the last date for purchasing tender documents set at September 12 and the final bid deadline at September 16.

Restrictions on sponsorship categories include alcohol, tobacco, betting, real-money gaming (except fantasy sports), cryptocurrency, pornography, and companies deemed harmful to public morality.

With Dream11 gone, India will play the Asia Cup without a jersey sponsor, as the bidding process will conclude after the tournament begins on September 9.
