BJP slams Revanth Reddy over Kerala remarks at rally

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy over his Kerala remarks at an election rally, calling them irresponsible and inappropriate.

State BJP spokesperson N. V. Subhash said the Kerala remarks were immature and factually incorrect. Therefore, he objected to the comparison made between Pinarayi Vijayan and Narendra Modi.

He said such statements did not suit a constitutional authority. Moreover, he added that they lowered the dignity of the Chief Minister’s office.

Subhash stressed that public discourse must rely on facts and accountability. However, he alleged that such remarks aimed to gain attention through rhetoric.

He also said the Kerala remarks reflected poorly on leadership standards. As a result, he urged restraint in political communication.

Kerala remarks trigger questions on Congress political stance

The BJP leader accused the Congress of political opportunism following the Kerala remarks. He noted that Congress and Left parties have shaped Kerala politics for decades.

Therefore, he said shifting blame now showed inconsistency. He also pointed to Revanth Reddy’s shift from the Telugu Desam Party to the Congress.

Subhash questioned the Chief Minister’s ideological consistency in this context. In addition, he alleged that Congress followed contradictory political strategies.

He said the party aligned with Left forces nationally while opposing them in Kerala. Meanwhile, he claimed that this approach confused voters.

Subhash also argued that the UDF-LDF rivalry had not significantly improved development in Kerala. Finally, he said such remarks could weaken public trust.

He urged leaders to focus on governance and accountability instead of divisive statements.
