BRS says ex-sarpanch in adilabad affected by congress vote chori

Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) accused the Congress government in Telangana of vote chori. The party said Congress was targeting its members through changes in electoral rolls.

In a social media post, the BRS pointed to ex-sarpanch Kadam Vanitha and her husband from Adegama-B village, Ichoda, Adilabad. It said officials removed their names from the local voter list and shifted them to another constituency.

BRS calls voter list change vote chori

The BRS alleged that Congress aimed to keep opposition leaders out of the polls. Leaders argued this contradicted Rahul Gandhi’s public claims of defending democracy while his party repeated practices it blamed on others.

The party warned that such acts deny farmers and village leaders their democratic rights. It added that manipulation of rolls erodes trust in the electoral process.
