CCFC meeting boosts stakeholder confidence in Delhi Customs

New Delhi: The Customs Clearance Facilitation Committee (CCFC) meeting convened by Delhi Customs reinforced stakeholder confidence by addressing operational issues and strengthening coordination within the Customs clearance ecosystem.

The meeting took place at the Kalpana Chawla Conference Hall at IGI Airport under the chairmanship of the Chief Commissioner of Customs, Delhi Zone. Officials said the forum focused on improving facilitation and efficiency in Customs processes.

Senior representatives from partner government agencies, including FSSAI, Plant Quarantine and the Drug Controller, attended the CCFC meeting. Trade bodies such as the Customs Broker Fraternity, ASSOCHAM and GJEPC also participated, along with custodians, importers, exporters and departmental officers.

During the discussions, officials highlighted recent policy and digital initiatives introduced by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs. They explained how these measures were being implemented within the Delhi Customs Zone.

Stakeholders raised several operational concerns related to Customs clearance. According to officials, the CCFC meeting enabled constructive discussions that resulted in actionable outcomes to improve efficiency and facilitation.

Participants appreciated the transparent and collaborative conduct of the meeting. Officials said this approach enhanced coordination across the EXIM community and strengthened trust in Customs procedures.

The Delhi Customs Zone reaffirmed its commitment to ease of doing business within the legal framework. It emphasised that transparency, accessibility and efficiency remained the guiding principles of its operations.

Officials said ease of doing business required continuous collaboration between Customs, partner agencies and the trading community. They added that the outcomes of the CCFC meeting marked another step towards institutionalising these values and ensuring stakeholder confidence.
