Hyderabad: Congress sweep prediction was made by Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy, who expressed confidence of a decisive victory in all Assembly seats contested under the DMK-led alliance in Tamil Nadu.
Campaigning as senior AICC observer, he addressed meetings in the Ooty constituency. He urged voters to remain cautious of BJP expansion efforts in the state. At the same time, he highlighted strong internal assessments supporting the Congress sweep prediction.
He said the party expected to win all 28 seats it contested within the alliance. Moreover, he added that victory margins would exceed previous elections. “Our internal surveys clearly indicate a strong advantage,” he said.
He noted that the lead appeared stronger in Ooty. Therefore, he expressed confidence of securing a high majority in the constituency.
Congress sweep prediction gains momentum during campaign
Referring to Rahul Gandhi’s popularity, Uttam Kumar Reddy said he had gained wide support in Tamil Nadu. He added that the campaign gathered pace due to coordinated efforts by party leaders.
He praised AICC in-charge Girish Chodankar and Tamil Nadu Congress chief K Selvaperunthagai. According to him, their coordination strengthened outreach across constituencies. As a result, he said the campaign remained well organised.
He also expressed admiration for Tamil culture and traditions. Therefore, he said he toured constituencies to energise cadres and streamline campaign activities.
Focusing on Ooty, he outlined development priorities. He described it as a key tourism hub in the Nilgiris region. He said the party would address infrastructure gaps and traffic issues.
In addition, he promised improved public amenities for residents and tourists. He also assured support to tea growers by addressing long-pending concerns. Thus, he said these steps would boost the local economy.
The minister said the party fielded B Ramachandran from Ooty. He added that the candidate would work to enhance tourism potential. At the same time, he would protect the interests of local communities.
Uttam Kumar Reddy reiterated confidence in the Congress sweep prediction. He said the party’s strategy and coordination would deliver strong results across DMK alliance seats.
