Hyderabad: BJP M Eatala Rajender criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy accusing him of neglecting governance and focusing on publicity-driven events.
Speaking to the media at his residence in Kamalapur mandal of Hanumakonda district on Saturday, Eatala Rajender said the Chief Minister had sidelined public issues. He alleged that Revanth Reddy acted like an event manager and spent time promoting a football match instead of addressing people’s problems.
Eatala Rajender said Singareni Collieries lacked funds to repair workers’ quarters and clear pending salaries. At the same time, he alleged that the government planned to spend ₹100 crore from Singareni funds on a football match. He said such spending reflected misplaced priorities and harmed workers’ welfare.
He also accused the HYDRA agency of targeting the poor by demolishing their houses. According to him, officials ignored encroachments by influential persons. Eatala Rajender demanded a government inquiry into allegations raised by Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha.
Eatala Rajender criticism questions Congress claims in local elections
Eatala Rajender criticism also focused on the Congress party’s claims after local body elections. He said these elections did not use party symbols and usually favoured the ruling party.
Despite holding power, he claimed the Congress failed to win even 50 percent of the seats. He alleged that the party tried to claim successful candidates after the results. He said this showed growing public resentment against the Congress government in Telangana.
