New Delhi: Foreign Missions from 18 countries paid a special visit to PM Vishwakarma Haat 2026 at Dilli Haat, INA. During the visit, officials briefed them on key initiatives of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
The delegation included Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and senior representatives. They viewed India’s traditional craftsmanship and artisan products showcased under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. Meanwhile, the Ministry of MSME is organising the exhibition from January 18 to January 31. It remains open daily from 10:30 am to 10:00 pm.
Officials welcomed representatives from Algeria, Belarus, Cameroon, Cuba, Ecuador, and Ethiopia. In addition, delegates from Guyana, Indonesia, Iraq, and Kenya attended. Representatives from Malaysia, Nigeria, Peru, Somalia, South Africa, Timor-Leste, Uzbekistan and Venezuela were also present. Senior officers from the Office of the Development Commissioner attended the programme.
Shri Danish Ashraf, Joint Development Commissioner in the Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME), delivered the welcome address. He highlighted the objectives of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. He also explained its importance in supporting traditional artisans.

MSME officials highlight goals of PM Vishwakarma Haat 2026
Dr. Rajneesh, Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME, welcomed the visiting dignitaries. He then briefed them on major initiatives of the ministry. He outlined its role in employment generation. He also explained its focus on inclusive economic growth through flagship schemes. Furthermore, he thanked the foreign missions for their visit.
The programme also featured cultural performances from Assam and Rajasthan. In addition, artists from Punjab and Ladakh performed. As a result, the event created a lively atmosphere. It also highlighted India’s diverse cultural heritage.
Later, Smt. Anuja Bapat, Deputy Director General in the Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME), delivered the vote of thanks. She acknowledged the participation of foreign missions and officials.
PM Vishwakarma Haat 2026 aims to promote India’s traditional craftsmanship. Therefore, it provides artisans a platform to display and market their products. More than 117 artisans from all States and Union Territories are participating. As a result, the exhibition reflects a strong pan-India representation.
