Harish Rao targets Ponguleti over corruption claims

Hyderabad: T. Harish Rao intensified the Harish Rao Ponguleti allegations by accusing Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy of shielding family-linked business interests amid corruption and illegal mining claims.

He made these remarks while addressing the media in Wanaparthy district on Thursday. According to him, the minister’s statements in the Assembly attempted to divert attention from serious allegations.

Harish Rao Ponguleti allegations trigger political confrontation

Harish Rao said Ponguleti spoke in a personal capacity rather than as a cabinet minister. He argued that the response focused on defending interests linked to Raghava Constructions instead of addressing governance concerns.

Moreover, he stated that the Assembly remarks raised fresh questions about the government’s stand. He added that the response lacked clarity and failed to address key issues.

He also claimed that counterarguments relied more on rhetoric than on facts. As a result, the exchange has deepened the political confrontation.

Assembly remarks widen scope of scrutiny

The BRS leader further argued that the minister’s statements brought wider concerns into focus. He noted that references to other senior leaders expanded the scope of the issue.

In addition, he cited remarks attributed to Revanth Reddy. He said those remarks acknowledged issues linked to Raghava Constructions, including alleged irregularities and penalties.

He also referred to comments by the Mining Minister regarding delays in approvals. According to him, these remarks suggested that certain operations may have proceeded without proper permissions.

Call for detailed government response

Harish Rao maintained that the allegations require a comprehensive response from the government. He stressed that the issue deserves further examination based on statements made in the Assembly.

Overall, the Harish Rao Ponguleti allegations have escalated the political row, with both sides expected to continue their arguments in the coming days.
