The heli tourism circuit will provide aerial views of the Krishna River and the Nallamala Forest. As a result, travellers can enjoy a panoramic perspective of the region’s natural landscape.

Officials are implementing the project in partnership with private aviation agencies. Moreover, the initiative forms part of broader efforts to strengthen premium tourism infrastructure in Telangana.

Earlier, the minister visited Somasila and inspected helipad construction. He also reviewed arrangements ahead of the service launch.

Itinerary includes Somasila visit and temple darshan

The journey will begin from Hyderabad and proceed to Somasila to cover its scenic backwaters. It will then continue to Srisailam.

Tourists will get an opportunity for boating at Somasila. In addition, they can have darshan at the Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple before returning to Hyderabad on the same day.

The minister said the service will attract more visitors. Therefore, it is expected to support local economic activity and create employment for rural youth.

Furthermore, he said the government plans to expand heli tourism to other destinations. These include Nagarjuna Sagar, Ramappa Temple and Nizam Sagar.

He added that the expansion aligns with the state’s vision to position Telangana as a leading tourism destination nationally and globally.
