HRA hike order: TGO leaders thank Rangareddy collector for 24% decision

Hyderabad: Leaders of the Rangareddy district Telangana Gazetted Officers (TGO) Association met the district collector and expressed gratitude after the HRA hike order increased house rent allowance from 11% to 24% for eligible employees.

TGO district president Dr Ramarao and general secretary Srinesh Kumar Nori said the decision brought long-awaited relief to employees working under GHMC limits, IDOC, Kongarakalan and the Rangareddy district collectorate. They conveyed employees’ appreciation to Collector Narayana Reddy for issuing the orders.

The TGO executive committee passed a unanimous resolution during its district meeting to formally thank the collector. Members also decided to express gratitude to the TGO Central Association for its support and coordination in securing the increase.

The association said the HRA hike order ended financial hardship faced by employees over the past three years, particularly staff working at IDOC and Kongarakalan. Leaders described the decision as a major administrative relief.

HRA hike order credited to TGO initiative

TGO leaders said the allowance increase became possible due to the initiative taken by the Telangana Gazetted Officers Association. They stated that the association’s sustained representation led to the issuance of official orders by the district administration.

During the meeting, the executive committee also passed a resolution appointing Nutankanti Venkat as associate president, filling the vacancy caused by retirement. The decision was taken unanimously.

The association reiterated its appreciation for the swift action taken by the district collector. Leaders said the revised HRA would significantly improve the financial stability of affected employees.

Several office-bearers and employees attended the programme, including Nutankanti Venkat, Shanti Sri, Anita, Rakesh, Saidamma, Padmavathi, Balaraj Goud, Baleshwari, Masood Ali, Pavani and IDOC staff members.
