Protest highlights concerns over global conflict

During the public meeting, Saifullah criticised the actions of the United States and Israel. He alleged that the strikes caused significant civilian casualties and warned that the conflict could escalate further, affecting global peace.

Moreover, he questioned the response of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the Centre had not clearly condemned reported civilian deaths. According to him, this reflected inconsistency in India’s foreign policy approach.

Call for stronger diplomatic stance

Saifullah argued that a country aspiring to global leadership should adopt a principled stand on international issues. He urged the government to speak out against violence and prioritise humanitarian concerns.

He also highlighted the risks faced by Indian expatriates in the Gulf region, noting that instability could impact their safety and economic contributions.

In addition, he raised concerns about domestic economic pressures, linking global tensions to rising fuel and living costs.

The protest concluded with participants demanding accountability, an end to hostilities, and a clearer position from India on international conflicts. The remarks came amid growing debate over the US-Israel strikes on Iran and their wider implications.
