Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Old City Metro works have gathered pace as authorities near completion of land clearances, demolitions, and surveys.
Metro MD NVS Reddy said 550 property demolitions are complete, out of 886 identified. Compensation of ₹433 crore has been paid. Road widening along the 7.5 km stretch is almost done.

Officials are conducting DGPS surveys, soil tests, and mapping of underground utilities. Sensitive old structures are being safeguarded.
Utility shifting with Water Board, GHMC, and other agencies is underway. Metro pillars and station construction will start soon after groundwork finishes.
