Hyderabad: A Hyderabad entrepreneur’s LinkedIn invitation led to an extensive Anupam Mittal podcast recording that lasted nearly seven hours during the Shark Tank India judge’s recent visit to the city.
Twenty-three-year-old entrepreneur and podcaster Md Asrar Ahmed invited Shaadi.com founder Anupam Mittal to appear on his podcast, “One Day With Asrar,” ahead of a major real estate summit in Hyderabad.
The public invitation quickly received a response. The next day, a member of Mittal’s team contacted Asrar to explore the possibility of scheduling the podcast during the visit.
On the day of the event, Asrar and his team welcomed Mittal at Hyderabad Airport. They accompanied him throughout his engagements across the city. Conversations began during the drive from the airport and continued at multiple locations.

After attending the summit, Mittal visited the Hyderabad office of Shaadi.com. During the visit, Asrar interacted with employees and learned about the company’s operations and workplace culture.
The discussions continued during the return journey to the airport. As a result, the team recorded nearly seven hours of conversations throughout the day.
The podcast explores Mittal’s entrepreneurial journey, the growth of Shaadi.com, startup fundraising, leadership and decision-making. It also examines his experiences as an investor on Shark Tank India.
In addition, the conversation covers how Mittal evaluates founders, the future of entrepreneurship in India and lessons for aspiring business leaders. The discussion also touched on Hyderabad’s startup ecosystem, the role of T-Hub and the city’s entrepreneurial culture.
