ICG Ship Amulya commissioned, boosts coastal security

Goa: ICG Ship Amulya entered service on December 19, 2025, as the Indian Coast Guard commissioned the vessel in Goa, officials said.

The ship is the third of eight new-generation Adamya-class Fast Patrol Vessels built by Goa Shipyard Limited. Notably, the 51-metre vessel uses over 60% indigenous components, supporting the Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make-in-India initiatives.

Moreover, officials said Amulya reflects a modern design focused on efficiency, endurance, and rapid response. The ship runs on two advanced 3,000 kW diesel engines. As a result, it can reach 27 knots and sustain operations for 1,500 nautical miles.

The Coast Guard equipped the vessel with indigenous weapons and advanced systems. Consequently, Amulya offers high manoeuvrability, operational flexibility, and strong performance during maritime missions.
