KTR Fires Salvo at Congress Over Jubilee Hills Misrule

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched a sharp attack on the Congress government, accusing it of betraying every section of society and turning Telangana into a “state of scams and commissions.”

Addressing a lively roadshow in Shaikpet while campaigning for Maganti Sunitha, wife of late MLA Maganti Gopinath, KTR said the Congress would only realise its mistakes when it loses its deposit in the Jubilee Hills by-election.

“Congress won power by selling dreams and now survives by selling lies,” he remarked, calling Maganti Sunitha’s victory a “people’s mandate against Congress misrule.” He added that the government had failed to deliver on even one major promise in two years.

KTR–Congress clash intensifies over corruption allegations

KTR alleged that corruption had spread across every department — from liquor syndicates to land settlements. “Ministers are fighting for kickbacks instead of serving the people,” he said, claiming that governance had turned into extortion.

He also described the Congress’s “Six Guarantees” as “six grand deceptions.” “Neither pensions for elders nor scooters for girls have materialised. Even the 20,000 litres of free water provided under KCR’s rule has been stopped,” he stated.

Taking aim at Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, KTR labelled him “a symbol of arrogance and deception.” He warned that another Congress victory would embolden the Chief Minister to continue neglecting governance. “They demolish poor people’s houses in the name of Indiramma Rajyam, ruin industries, and choke small traders,” he alleged.

KTR urged voters to “teach Congress a fitting lesson” by supporting Maganti Sunitha in Jubilee Hills. “If four lakh voters teach Congress a lesson, four crore people in Telangana will benefit,” he said, advising them to “take Congress money if offered, but vote for the Car symbol.”

Concluding his speech, KTR said that Jubilee Hills would mark the “beginning of BRS’s comeback and KCR’s return as Chief Minister.” He declared, “The countdown for this corrupt Congress government starts here.”
