KTR seeks Bandi Sanjay removal from Union Cabinet over POCSO case

Hyderabad: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao demanded Bandi Sanjay removal from the Union Cabinet after the arrest of the Union Minister’s son Bhagirath in a POCSO case. He alleged that political influence could affect the investigation if Bandi Sanjay continued in office.

KTR made the remarks during the ‘Na Booth-Na Vishva’ programme held in LB Nagar on Sunday. He said the state government had failed to respond seriously when injustice was done to a girl. He also claimed that only the BRS consistently fought for justice for the victim.

The BRS leader criticised the law and order situation in Telangana. He alleged that both the Congress and BJP attempted to weaken the case. According to him, authorities did not act with urgency after the allegations surfaced.

Bandi Sanjay removal demand intensifies over probe concerns

KTR questioned the fairness of the investigation if Bandi Sanjay remained a Union Minister. He alleged that the accused was hidden for several days after the case became public. He also claimed that attempts were made to pressure the victim’s family.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao” slogan, KTR said the promise remained limited to speeches. He further stated that issuing a lookout circular against a Union Minister’s son was unprecedented.

KTR demanded strict legal action and said investigators must work without political pressure. However, Bandi Sanjay and BJP leaders did not immediately respond to the allegations.
