KTR slams Congress over alleged demolition of check dams in Telangana

Hyderabad: KTR slams Congress for what he described as a policy of destruction in Telangana, accusing the ruling party of demolishing check dams after “bringing down” the Medigadda barrage.

Addressing party workers after several Congress leaders from Serilingampally joined the BRS in his presence, the BRS working president alleged that the Congress government focused only on demolitions, blasts and broken promises. He said the government had abandoned governance and public welfare.

KTR targeted Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, alleging that the Congress leadership betrayed the people after making several poll promises. He claimed the Chief Minister avoided questions on assurances and instead resorted to abusive language.

He demanded clarity on when the government would implement the promised pension hike. KTR said the BRS chose restraint in language but would strongly question failures in governance and accountability.

KTR slams Congress again, cites GHMC mandate and broken promises

Reiterating his attack, KTR slams Congress for ignoring Hyderabad’s mandate despite the BRS winning the GHMC elections twice consecutively. He said the city’s voters stood firmly with the BRS and deserved better governance.

KTR said even bowing before Hyderabad’s people would fall short of acknowledging their support. He further asserted that if BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao returned to the Assembly, the Chief Minister would struggle to face political scrutiny.

The BRS leader said public anger was rising against the Congress government. He added that people would respond at the appropriate time to what he termed repeated failures and unfulfilled commitments.
