Kukatpally MLA targets HYDRAA Commissioner over Sunnam Cheruvu

Hyderabad: Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao targeted the HYDRAA Commissioner Ranganath over alleged irregularities at Sunnam Cheruvu and accused him of acting like a Congress agent.

Addressing a press conference at his Kukatpally camp office on Tuesday, the BRS legislator questioned the selective fencing of land at Sunnam Cheruvu. He asked how HYDRAA officials fenced certain portions while leaving five acres untouched. He demanded to know the basis for such action.

Krishna Rao alleged that the HYDRAA Commissioner was trying to intimidate major builders in Hyderabad. Moreover, he said the Commissioner failed to respond even after he personally made a phone call.

The MLA stated that areas around IDL, Maisamma Cheruvu and Sunnam Cheruvu saw development during the BRS tenure. However, he claimed that even basic amenities such as streetlights were not functioning now in those localities.

He announced that he would file a complaint against the HYDRAA Commissioner with Central Vigilance authorities and other senior central officials. At the same time, he said the BRS would cooperate with officials in development matters.

However, he warned that the party would not tolerate actions that harm the poor. Krishna Rao also demanded that the government order a comprehensive inquiry into the issues concerning Sunnam Cheruvu.
