Mahesh Kumar Goud says Telangana will lead India with future city growth

Hyderabad: TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud said Telangana would face no competition from any state if the proposed future city project developed fully, asserting that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s long-term vision was already delivering visible results.

Speaking to the media during an informal interaction in Delhi, he said the Congress government had earned public confidence across Telangana. He claimed that people were satisfied with governance and welfare delivery under the present administration. According to him, no other state had implemented welfare schemes on the scale introduced by the Congress in Telangana.

He said Hyderabad continued to perform strongly in infrastructure, investment attraction, and urban planning. He also stated that the Chief Minister’s development roadmap was expanding steadily, strengthening Telangana’s position at the national level. He added that public support for the government was increasing with every passing month.

Mahesh Kumar Goud said the Congress party was well placed to retain power in the next Assembly elections. He asserted that the party’s organisational strength and governance record would translate into electoral success. He described the anticipated victory as smooth and decisive.

Mahesh Kumar Goud criticises BRS decline and BJP welfare claims

Turning to the opposition, Mahesh Kumar Goud alleged that the BRS was weakening rapidly due to the absence of grassroots cadre. Referring to Telangana Jagruti president Kavitha, he said political ambition must remain within limits. He questioned why she would seek to project herself for higher leadership if the party still had a viable future.

He further alleged that former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao avoided campaigning in Jubilee Hills because defeat was evident. He said the lack of confidence within the party leadership reflected its declining public support.

On the BJP, he said the party would never come to power in Telangana. He alleged that BJP-ruled states offered no meaningful welfare except the distribution of 10 kg rice. He also said ordinary citizens were facing difficulties due to SIR-related issues, adding that such measures were troubling people at the ground level.
