Hyderabad: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy clarified that there is no fuel shortage India and assured that petrol, diesel, and LPG supplies remain sufficient across the country.
He addressed the media on Saturday and dismissed reports suggesting shortages. At the same time, he urged people not to panic or rush to fuel stations and gas agencies.
Minister dismisses rumours
Kishan Reddy also rejected speculation about a possible lockdown. He stated that such claims were baseless and driven by misinformation.
Therefore, he advised citizens to avoid forming unnecessary queues at petrol pumps and gas agencies. According to him, the supply system continues to function smoothly.
Centre ensures steady supply
Reiterating that there is no fuel shortage India, the minister said the government is closely monitoring supply levels nationwide.
Moreover, he noted that authorities are ensuring timely fuel imports from multiple countries. Although global conditions have prompted several nations to raise duties, the Centre has reduced excise duty to ease the burden on consumers.
In addition, he urged state governments to lower VAT on fuel to provide further relief to the public.
Situation back to normal
Kishan Reddy acknowledged that a few companies faced technical issues earlier. However, officials resolved those problems quickly.
As a result, the supply system has stabilised. He emphasised that there is no fuel shortage India and advised people not to store fuel unnecessarily.
Furthermore, he reassured citizens that petrol, diesel, and LPG supplies remain adequate. He again appealed to the public to ignore rumours and avoid creating artificial demand.
Overall, the government continues to monitor the situation to ensure uninterrupted fuel availability across the country.
