Hyderabad: PM Modi has welcomed the leadership of US President Donald Trump as peace talks in Gaza show decisive progress. He described the reported signs of hostage release as a major humanitarian breakthrough.

In a message on X, the Prime Minister wrote, “We welcome President Trump’s leadership as peace efforts in Gaza make decisive progress. Indications of the release of hostages mark a significant step forward. India will continue to strongly support all efforts towards a durable and just peace.”

India’s position remains centred on peace and dialogue

The statement reflects India’s long-held position that sustainable peace in Gaza can only come through diplomacy and cooperation. Officials said the PM Modi ’s message underscores India’s commitment to global stability and humanitarian action.
