Hyderabad: Rangareddy District Collector C Narayana Reddy inspected development works at the Arutla Zilla Parishad High School, which has been upgraded as a PM SHRI model school for the 2022–23 academic year.
During the visit on Tuesday, the Collector interacted with officials and reviewed the campus layout. Officials said the school in Manchal mandal was selected because ZP, primary, upper primary, and pre-primary schools function within a single campus. Therefore, the administration chose the location for comprehensive upgradation to ensure continuity in schooling.
Authorities are developing internal roads to improve movement across the campus. In addition, they are constructing a compound wall to enhance safety. Officials are also creating a dedicated sports ground to promote physical activity among students. The Collector inspected classrooms, common areas, and work sites. He directed engineers to maintain quality standards and complete the works on schedule.
The Collector also stressed the need for coordination between departments. According to officials, the integrated campus model would help students move smoothly between different education levels. Moreover, the upgraded facilities aim to improve learning conditions for children from surrounding rural areas.

PM SHRI model school project strengthens integrated education
Education department officials said the PM SHRI model school initiative aims to transform selected government schools into benchmarks for quality education. They added that the upgraded campus at Arutla would support both academic and co-curricular activities.
Officials said students would benefit from better classrooms, safer outdoor spaces, and improved amenities. Over time, the school is expected to serve as a reference for similar upgrades in other mandals.
