Ponguleti directs officials to speed up QUAR housing projects

Hyderabad: Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Saturday directed officials to expedite QUAR housing projects across Telangana. He asked the Revenue and Housing departments to complete land acquisition and tender processes without delay.

The Minister reviewed progress during a meeting at the Secretariat. He instructed officials to speed up the construction of affordable Low Income Group (LIG) houses under the QUAR initiative.

Under the first phase, the government will build 500 houses in each of 26 Assembly constituencies. Ponguleti said officials should complete all preparatory work quickly to ensure timely execution.

QUAR housing projects include new government buildings

The Minister also reviewed the construction of permanent government buildings across the State. The projects include 107 Tahsildar offices, two Deputy Inspector General offices, four District Sub-Registrar offices and 52 Sub-Registrar offices.

Furthermore, Ponguleti said all new government buildings would follow a uniform design. He added that the facilities would include modern public amenities and solar-powered parking areas to promote energy conservation.

Housing Secretary V. P. Gautham, Inspector General of Stamps and Registration Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu and other senior officials attended the review meeting.
