Revanth Reddy seeks Telangana projects support from PM Modi

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy sought Telangana projects support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for major infrastructure, education, transport and industrial initiatives during a meeting in New Delhi.

The Chief Minister submitted a memorandum outlining Telangana Rising vision. He said the state aims to become a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047 through investments in education, infrastructure, manufacturing and innovation.

He also proposed a special fund of Rs 6 lakh crore for urban infrastructure development. Under the proposal, each major city would receive Rs 1 lakh crore for expansion projects.

Telangana projects support includes metro and connectivity plans

Revanth Reddy requested the Centre to establish an Indian Institute of Management in Hyderabad. He said the state had offered 200 acres of land for the proposed institution.

Furthermore, he sought quick approval for the Hyderabad Regional Ring Road and requested support for the Hyderabad-Amaravati-Bandar Port Expressway and the Mannanur-Srisailam elevated corridor on NH-765.

The Chief Minister sought approval for Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II, covering 122.9 kilometres across seven corridors at an estimated cost of Rs 38,595 crore.

He also requested support for the Musi River Rejuvenation Project, Bharat Future City, Regional Ring Rail and a Central High-Speed Rail Hub at Shamshabad. Additionally, he sought high-speed rail connectivity between Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru and Pune.

Revanth Reddy requested projects under the India Semiconductor Mission 2.0 and approval for the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster at Future City.

He further sought early clearances for the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme and intervention in discussions with Maharashtra over the proposed Tummidihatti Barrage.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that cooperation from the Centre would help Telangana become a global hub for education, technology, manufacturing and services.
