Khammam assault victim receives support from Kavitha at NIMS

Hyderabad: Telangana Rakshana Sena president Kalvakuntla Kavitha visited the Khammam assault victim undergoing treatment at NIMS Hospital and demanded strict action against the accused along with government assistance for the affected family.

Kavitha met doctors and enquired about the child’s health condition and the medical treatment being provided. She also met the victim’s parents and expressed support to the family.

According to Kavitha, the family alleged that the 12-year-old child suffered severe injuries and may face long-term health challenges. Therefore, she demanded that authorities ensure a speedy investigation and impose the strongest punishment available under the law against the accused.

Kavitha alleged that attempts were being made to pressure the family to withdraw the case and demanded that officials conduct the investigation without political interference.

She urged the government to provide financial assistance, a house and long-term support for the child’s treatment and care. Additionally, she sought security for the family, citing concerns about possible threats after the accused secures bail.

The Telangana Rakshana Sena chief claimed that several offences against minors occur daily in the state and criticised the government for failing to prevent such incidents.

She demanded that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who also holds the Home portfolio, review the situation and take stronger steps to prevent crimes against women and children.
