RGIA police trace and return NRI’s lost backpack within hours

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police personnel at the RGIA outpost traced and returned an NRI passenger’s lost backpack within three hours on Sunday, highlighting swift and people-centric policing at the international airport.

Police said the complainant, Seshu Gudlavalleti, reported losing his backpack after arriving at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The bag contained three laptops valued at around ₹2.5 lakh, triggering concern over the loss of high-value electronic equipment.

Upon receiving the complaint, RGIA outpost staff immediately launched a systematic search across the airport premises. Officers coordinated closely and checked multiple locations to track the missing bag.

Within three hours, the police traced the backpack with all contents intact. Officials handed it over to the complainant after completing due verification procedures.

The complainant expressed happiness over the recovery and thanked the station house officer and staff for their prompt response and dedicated efforts.
