Hyderabad: Government Adviser Mohammed Ali Shabbir Ali announced relief measures following the Kamareddy fire accident and assured rehabilitation support for affected traders.
He visited the fire accident site at the old bus stand area on Sirisilla Road in Kamareddy town. The incident, caused by a short circuit on Sunday night, destroyed 22 shops belonging to 20 traders.
Officials estimated losses at around ₹35 lakh. During his visit, Shabbir Ali inspected the damaged shops and interacted with victims to assess the impact.
He provided immediate financial assistance of ₹8,000 each to 20 affected traders. In addition, he directed the District Collector, RDO and officials to initiate steps for long-term rehabilitation.

Shabbir Ali assured victims that the government would extend full support. He said departments would coordinate to ensure timely assistance and recovery for traders.
Local representatives and officials, including the Municipal Chairman and revenue authorities, were present during the inspection. They reviewed damage details and discussed further action.
Earlier, Shabbir Ali attended an Indiramma Saree distribution programme in Kamareddy. He distributed sarees to beneficiaries at a fair price shop as part of welfare initiatives.
He said the government aimed to improve living standards through welfare schemes. He added that such programmes ensured dignity and support for economically weaker sections.
Shabbir Ali also highlighted ongoing development efforts in the district. He said schemes such as housing, pensions and farmer support would continue to receive priority.
Meanwhile, Ankam Krishna Rao was appointed as Congress Mandal President of Rajampet mandal. He met Shabbir Ali and thanked party leaders for the opportunity.
Several public representatives, officials and local leaders attended the events in Kamareddy.
