SIT notices against Joginipally Santosh Kumar termed political vendetta

Hyderabad: BRS leader and MLC Dr Sravan Dasoju said the SIT notices issued to former MP Joginipally Santosh Kumar showed clear political vendetta by the Congress-led state government.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Dr Sravan accused the Revanth Reddy administration of using investigative agencies to target opposition leaders. He said the government acted out of desperation and warned that such actions damaged democratic institutions.

Dr Sravan alleged that the SIT notices were part of a planned campaign against the BRS leadership. He said the phone tapping case had turned into a tool for harassment rather than a genuine probe. According to him, the government aimed to create fear and damage reputations through repeated notices and questioning.

He further said the Congress government had shifted attention to investigations to hide its failure to deliver on election promises. He claimed the ruling party wanted to distract public anger over unfulfilled guarantees by keeping controversies in the news.

BRS flags misuse of SIT notices and police agencies

Dr Sravan said the repeated use of SIT notices showed the misuse of police and investigative agencies. He stated that such actions violated constitutional values and weakened democracy. He added that settling political scores through state power reflected administrative failure.

The MLC said the BRS would challenge the SIT notices both legally and politically. He said the party would expose what he described as revenge politics in courts and before the public. He also advised the Chief Minister to focus on governance instead of targeting opponents.

Dr Sravan concluded that SIT notices would not intimidate the BRS. He said the party remained firm in its commitment to Telangana and its people.
