Hyderabad: The Telangana Rising Global Summit will begin today at Future City in Kandukur. Governor Jishnu Dev Varma will inaugurate the international event at 1 PM. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will address the summit at 2:30 PM. He will unveil the government’s Vision 2047 document and outline its development strategy.
The two-day summit spans a 100-acre site and aims to position Telangana as a manufacturing alternative to China. The government modernised the venue to host high-level interactions and attract global investments. A total of 154 delegates from 44 countries are attending, including 46 company representatives from the United States.
The government invited over 2,000 national and international guests. It is using the summit to highlight Telangana’s strengths in public governance and industrial potential. Additionally, it will showcase the proposed Bharat Future City project. Senior IAS officers are coordinating operations from a dedicated war room to ensure smooth execution.
Telangana Rising Global Summit features Vision 2047 and ₹1 lakh crore deals
The summit includes 27 thematic sessions across four parallel halls. On Day 1, discussions will focus on welfare delivery, education, health, agriculture, youth, women empowerment, industrial development, and employment. From 3 PM to 7 PM, expert-led sessions will run simultaneously. On Day 2, the focus will shift to pollution control, infrastructure, environment, investment partnerships, and R&D strategies. These areas aim for building a $3 trillion economy.
On Tuesday at 6 PM, CM Revanth Reddy will launch the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document. The plan sets out goals for decentralised growth, skill development, and women’s wealth creation. It also addresses sustainable agriculture and employment-linked reforms in education and healthcare. NITI Aayog and ISB experts contributed to the document.
Cultural programmes will showcase Kommu Koya, Banjara, Kolatam, Gussadi, Oggu Dolu, Bonalu, and Perini dance forms. Along with this, there will be a concert by M.M. Keeravani’s troupe. In addition, diplomatic guests will visit Buddha Vanam near Nagarjunasagar.
Investment agreements worth over ₹1 lakh crore are expected. Companies such as TCS-TPG, Hyundai, Foodlink F&B, Crystal Lagoons, and Green Panthers Properties have shown interest. The venue includes 45 exhibition stalls and 10 info kiosks across Hyderabad. Massive hoardings and digital displays line the roads from the airport to the venue, showcasing Telangana’s achievements.
Security personnel tightened surveillance with 1,000 CCTV cameras linked to the central command room. The Rachakonda Police Commissioner is overseeing arrangements. Entry remains restricted to cardholders.
All guests will receive Telangana-themed gift hampers featuring a Pochampally shawl, Cheriyal artwork, and Hyderabadi attar. These will include pearl jewellery and traditional sweets such as sakkinalu, chekkalu, badam ki jali, and makka pelalu.
