Hyderabad: The TNGOs union elections marked a key development as top leaders secured re-election unopposed for a second consecutive term.
Election officials received nominations for major executive posts on Sunday. Notably, only one set of nominations was filed for the positions of president and general secretary.
Maram Jagadeeshwar filed his nomination for president. Meanwhile, Dr S.M. Hussaini (Mujeeb) entered the race for general secretary. Since no other candidates contested, officials declared both leaders elected unopposed.
The outcome reflected strong internal consensus within the Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers’ Central Union. In fact, representatives from all 33 districts attended the process and expressed support for the leadership.
Leadership continuity backed by district support
The re-election ensures continuity in the union’s leadership structure. Both Jagadeeshwar and Hussaini secured a second term with unanimous backing from district representatives.
Meanwhile, officials confirmed that the process for other executive positions is still ongoing. They added that formal proceedings will be issued on March 31, 2026.
Following the announcement, the leaders thanked members for their trust. They also stated that they would continue working towards employee welfare and addressing pending issues.
In addition, they assured better coordination with the state government to resolve grievances effectively. The TNGOs union elections will conclude after all executive posts are finalised.
