Hyderabad: Tolichowki Police detected the Tolichowki murder case and arrested three accused, including the main assaulter, in connection with the killing of a 23-year-old auto driver following a late-night dispute.
Police said they arrested Shaik Bilal, 25, along with Sana Begum, 23, and Ruhi Begum, 23, on December 16 at Afsar Khan Colony, Golconda. Officers produced the accused before a court after registering Crime No. 279/2025 under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Meanwhile, the second accused, Mohd Naveed, 22, remains absconding.
According to police, Mohammed Moulana, 65, a watchman, lodged a complaint stating that the incident stemmed from a dispute involving allegations against his family. On December 14 at around 9:20 pm, Shaik Bilal and his relatives visited the complainant’s house in Tolichowki and argued with family members over alleged rumours concerning Bilal’s wife.
As Mohammed Adnaan, who was named during the argument, was not present at home, the dispute escalated with his family members. Later that night, the accused went to an auto stand near Marwa Dental Hospital to enquire about Adnaan. Suspecting trouble, Mohammed Irfan, Adnaan’s brother, followed them along with two friends.
Tolichowki murder case linked to knife attack after heated argument
Police said another argument broke out at the auto stand. During the confrontation, Shaik Bilal allegedly stabbed Mohammed Irfan in the chest with a knife. Irfan’s friends rushed him to a private hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Investigators said the motive centred on the belief that false allegations had damaged the reputation of Bilal’s wife. Acting on this suspicion, Bilal and Naveed allegedly planned an attack and purchased a knife from a shop in Golconda before confronting the family.
During the arrest, police seized a blood-stained knife and clothes from the accused. Officers said the investigation revealed that Sana Begum and Ruhi Begum accompanied the main accused during the sequence of events leading to the crime.
Police carried out the investigation under the supervision of the South West Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police. Senior officers said teams were continuing efforts to trace and arrest the absconding accused. They added that further investigation was underway to establish the complete chain of events and file a detailed charge sheet.
