BJP corruption allegations target Congress-ruled states, says N Ramchander Rao

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Tuesday accused Congress-ruled states of becoming centres of corruption. He alleged that corruption had become deeply rooted in the party’s culture.

Addressing reporters at the BJP state office, Rao targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his “Mohabbat Ki Dukaan” slogan. He alleged that Congress governments were instead running what he called a “Khaadaran of corruption” and “mines of corruption”.

The BJP leader cited allegations involving Congress ministers in Karnataka and Telangana to support his claims. He said the issues showed the scale of the BJP corruption allegations against Congress governments.

Rao claimed that a Karnataka minister had resigned after facing corruption charges. He also referred to allegations against the Public Works Department minister in Karnataka.

In Telangana, Rao alleged that several people in the state government faced corruption allegations. He specifically referred to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and other ministers while making the claims.

BJP corruption allegations extend to other states

Rao also referred to Uttarakhand and alleged that examination paper leaks had taken place during an earlier Congress government. He claimed the issue had harmed students’ futures.

According to Rao, the matter was exposed by the personal assistant of the then Chief Minister. He used the allegation while arguing that corruption had affected public administration under Congress governments.

The Telangana BJP president also raised allegations linked to land-related matters in Telangana. He claimed irregularities were taking place in the name of HIL, HYDRAA and Section 22A.

Moreover, Rao alleged that a “massive corruption racket” was operating across Telangana. He presented these claims as part of the BJP’s wider attack on the Congress government.

Rao also criticised Rahul Gandhi’s “Chaotron Ki G Ki Dookan” initiative, which he described as “Jhoot Ki Gikoonj”. Referring to the BJP’s electoral victory in Kota, Rajasthan, Rao claimed voters had rejected what he described as the Congress party’s “politics of lies”.

He further accused the Congress of adopting contradictory positions. Rao alleged that the party spoke about “Mohabbat Ki Dukaan” while attempting to divide people along religious lines.

The BJP leader said his party would continue its campaign against corruption. He added that the BJP would intensify its agitation against the Congress government headed by Revanth Reddy in Telangana.
