New Delhi: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla announced the conclusion of the Lok Sabha winter session on Monday, reporting 111 percent productivity during the Sixth Session of the Eighteenth Lok Sabha.
Birla said the House held 15 sittings after the session began on 1 December 2025. Members worked for a total of 92 hours and 25 minutes, exceeding the scheduled time. He credited orderly proceedings for the high productivity figure.
The Speaker said the government introduced 10 Bills during the session. Parliament passed eight of them after discussion and consideration. He added that the House completed legislative business without major disruptions.
Key legislation cleared during the Lok Sabha winter session
The House passed the Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Second Amendment) Bill, 2025, and the Central Excise (Amendment) Bill, 2025. Members also approved the Health Security se National Security Cess Bill, 2025, along with the Appropriation (No. 4) Bill, 2025.
Other legislation included the Repealing and Amending Bill, 2025, and the Sabka Bima Sabki Raksha (Amendment of Insurance Laws) Bill, 2025. Parliament also cleared the Sustainable Harnessing and Advancement of Nuclear Energy for Transforming India Bill, 2025.
The House further passed the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin): VB–G RAM G (विकसित भारत—जी राम जी) Bill, 2025. The Bill focuses on rural employment and livelihood support.
Birla said the House maintained discipline throughout the session, which allowed members to complete key legislative work on time.
